The Waterways is an active retirement community for those 55 and over. Located by Montauk Highway in Moriches New York, The Waterways was built in 1985 and again in 1999. There are several different floorplans in the resales available at The Waterways in Suffolk County. Some are attached upper or lower units, some in quads, and some ranch. There are no 2 story townhouse designs, but there are 1 and 2 car garages. All units have central air conditioning and gas heat. At the Waterways there are many amenities including the 24 hour manned gate entry, the heated pool, tennis courts, gym, card rooms, social events, trips and the marina. When available, there are boat slips at an extra fee. According to public records and the multiple listing service, units at this homeowner’ s association of the Waterways sold in 2008 between $275,000 to $468,000.
