       There is  an active 62 and over community in Melville Long Island called The Coves.

Surrounded by Morley Circle,  The Coves was opened in 2004.   The Coves can be reached by The Long Island Expressway  Exit 49S, or from Route 110 to Duryea and a left on Park.   To enter The Coves, there is a code-gated system at the entrance on Park Avenue.  

The Coves on Morley Circle in Melville offers a clubhouse, pool, gym, cards and social activities. Each unit at The Coves is equipped with a medical emergency system.   These are attached garden style units with ground level and upper condos.    The Coves all have 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, central air conditioning and gas heat.  The 1st level condos have a backyard patio, and the upper units have a terrace off the 2nd bedroom.  There are no garages here, but there is ample parking spaces surrounding the community on Morley Circle.  One person must be 62 years or older to live in this pet friendly, active senior retirement condominium.  

Ground level units are not available that often, so when one does become available they usually sell quickly.  Some of the upper units have chair lifts, making easy access to the upper level, and also, some people prefer living on the upper level.   According to public records and the multiple listing service, LARRY AND  SHEILA Realtors with Charles Rutenberg Realty found there were closed sales in 2009 at The Coves in Melville from $320,000 to $420,000.
