There’s a 55 and over active adult community located in Southold Long Island called Founders Village.

Opened in the 1980′s, Founders Village in Southold Long Island are attached ranch style condos each with 2 bedrooms, some with a basement. There are no garages here, but there is ample parking for owners and their guests.  

Founders Village offers a small clubhouse with meeting room and a pretty pool.  You can reach this senior retirement community of Founders Village by the Long Island Expressway to the end Route 58, follow Route 25 East to Southold onto Youngs Avenue.  

This pet friendly community is near historic Southold Village with easy access to shopping, library, and restaurants and overlooks a preserved farm and barn with pretty vista views. The complex has well-maintained grounds and facilities. According to public records of the multiple listing service, so far as of this year, October 2012, a condos sold at Founders Village in Southold Long Island for $300,000 and another is Under Contract, but we won’t have details of it until it closes and is updated on the MLS site.
