The Knolls in Stony Brook is an active established 55 and over community located by Oxhead Road.  Built in the 1980’s,  these are attached one level condos with a 1 car garage.  There are 191 units which are mostly 2 bedrooms although there are approximately a dozen 1 bedrooms that were also included.  Residences do not become available very often, but here is the Update For The Knolls…According to public records and the multiple listing service as of November 2009, two units were sold and closed at The Knolls in Stony Brook.  Both were The Beech model with 2 bedroom 2 bath floor plans.  They sold and closed at $265,000 and $285,000.
